Habeas Corpus.

You probably heard this word and though its some mortician term at some point in time of your life. It is more important then that.

Literary it means "you have the body".

Judicially it means:
"A writ of habeas corpus is a judicial mandate to a prison official ordering that an inmate be brought to the court so it can be determined whether or not that person is imprisoned lawfully and whether or not he should be released from custody. "

Basically it is a little law that says that if you are put in prison you have a right to chanllange that, and to go to court so you may prove you are innocent and challenge your accusers, to see the charges filed against you and so on and so on.

Why is then Mr. Bush is trying to suspend it.
Why is it that he wants to TAKE away your RIGHT to defend yourself when you are accused of a CRIME.

Would you like to sit in jail indefinetally? At whim of the state and anyone (Democrat, Republican) who runs it?
